CM Kiran At The Rachabanda Programme


Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy faced an difficult situation at the Rachabanda programme here on Wednesday, when a group of women raised their voice against high prices of essential commodities. They asked him why his government launched the Re 1-kilo-rice scheme, when all the other essential commodities were going beyond their reach.

Kiran said his government would provide one lakh jobs to youth, in a day, at a programme where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be in attendance. The PM has accepted the invitation for the function and the date would be finalised later. He assured the people that his government would construct the Polavaram project as it would benefit lakhs of farmers in the state.

Activists of united Andhra were arrested at the Visakha airport when they raised slogans in support of Samaikyandhra, when the chief minister was inside the airport, waiting to leave for Hyderabad..
