Andhra Pradesh - BJP to contest for only one seat in by-polls

Swine Flu reported in Andhra Pradesh

Four students died, School bus falls into canal

Four students were killed and 15 went missing when a school bus fell into a canal near here in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, police said. The bus, carrying 45 Lower KG and Upper KG students of Sai Teja Public School and its own staff overturned and fell into the Godavari river canal near Ganti Pedapudi village.

Trade unions' strike hits banking and transport

Court asks Italian ship agent to deposit 25lakh guarantee

The Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice C.T. Ravikumar made it clear that on furnishing a bank guarantee or demand drafts for the amount to the Registrar General of the High Court, the vessel could be allowed to sail out. However, the court clarified that this order would not stand in the way of the vessel being detained in any other litigation or as required by the police authorities in connection with any pending investigation. Trade unions strike

Rupee down 4 paise vs dollar in early trade

Andhra Pradesh bypolls - 10 candidates nominations

10 candidates filed their nominations on Friday for the March 18 bypolls to seven Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. The segments where bypolls will be held are Adilabad, Nagarkurnool, Kollapur, Station Ghanpur, Kovur, Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar.
